Here @ Mug Dunk, I am prepared to provide fun sources of information covering cryptocurrency and blockchain network technologies. This article is my first of such and my personal favourite to cover firstly would surely be the Tezos blockchain.
I would be slow to claim outright that Tezos is the best network of all, as there are many great contenders and sometimes, I cannot be sure if my personal favourite is actually the Solana network. Tezos is unique in its characteristic of having a vibrant community, just as vibrant as that of the Ethereum network.
On the other hand, I take to Solana network as being the one with the superior interface design and the most amazing crypto tokens with the most astounding network protocols and technologies. I will talk further into this with a corresponding article on the impressive, breathtaking world of Solana.
Digital assets are in the spotlight and are sought after in the world of crypto and trading. Art and music can be some of the most exciting assets we can own, share, and trade.
Buying NFTs or minting them is not possible on Tezos without having some tez in your wallet. To acquire the tez crypto tokens I need is easy for me to do so, or other cryptos, by buying on the CEXes (centralised exchanges) known as Coinbase, Binance & Kraken.
I make use of each of these and do struggle to decide which centralised exchange is my favourite. I will usually buy my tez from any of these three major exchanges and send/withdraw the Tezos crypto to my personal blockchain Tezos wallet.
My recommendation for creating such a wallet is by installing the pair of apps known as AirGap Wallet and AirGap Vault. Install these to your Android or Apple smartphone. Feel around the apps as you learn to create a new Tezos blockchain wallet. You may also import additional wallets like Ethereum network wallets into AirGap, which you may have made with another hot wallet app like maybe Coinbase Wallet or MetaMask.
Do note though, that AirGap will operate more seamlessly and with fewer complications with connectivity if you have only a Tezos blockchain wallet address imported or created. For this reason, I tend to use Coinbase Wallet or MetaMask more often for the Ethereum network.
A browser extension called Spire exists. You can connect your AirGap wallet to the browser extension and then log into Tezos Beacon network apps via Spire and respond with AirGap on your mobile device.
If you do not want to use your mobile device, Kukai wallet is another good choice. Kukai can accommodate your Tezos wallet and Kukai is operated in your web browser, usually in a tab that you may open and close as you please.
AirGap provides a great block explorer to track transactions: -
I will provide the link to my wallet on the block explorer as an example. It will show my balance but I'm fine with that: -
To explore and trade all Tezos NFTs, use https://objkt.com/ and here is a link to my wallet full of NFTs on objkt: -
The following link, https://tezos.art/ will take you to a page that can show you where you can trade art on the Tezos blockchain online. Rarible is a multi-blockchain NFT trading site so you can explore art on other networks, these being Ethereum, Flow, and Polygon.
Decentralised Exchanges and Token Trading with Tezos
Connect you Tezos wallet to any of the following DEXes with an AirGap, Kukai, or Spire wallet connection and enjoy trading via on-blockchain swaps. Swap tez for US dollar stable coins and other tokens that may be wrapped such as wrapped ETH or wrapped BTC.
This is a great way to trade using the values of Ethereum or Bitcoin and enjoy swapping and trading with Tezos' low network fees. Your trades will cost a very tiny amount of tez.
TEZEX, the DEX in the fourth link requires an Ethereum network wallet to be connected at the same time and is a cross-network DEX that allows you to swap between Ethereum network tokens and Tezos network. Beware, Ethereum network gas fees also apply when trading with an Ethereum wallet connected.
